Katie Hafner is an interdisciplinary artist working in the visual arts. She creates experimental artwork, writing and craft as a means for self-expression and income. Her work is inspired by folklore and intimate self-expression; her process mirrors handcrafting and deep trance. Undoubtedly earthy, Katie prioritizes resourcefulness and the aesthetic of the working class. In the spring of 2019 she co-founded Swamp Angel, a radical herb and art shop in Cedar, Michigan. She lives just a few miles down the road with her husband and three children. Their little house is a busy studio for creative exploration and is therefore joyously cluttered.
